Nolan Plocek D.C.

Location: Helena
Dr. Nolan Plocek grew up in the Black Hills of South Dakota and Broadus, MT. He fought wildland fire for the USFS and BLM while attending undergraduate studies. He moved to Davenport, IA to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic, graduating in 2012.

Dr. Nolan and his wife, Dr. Melissa, moved to the western slope of Colorado where they owned and operated a highly specialized practice focusing on the upper cervical spine for eight years before moving to South Dakota. It didn't take long for them to realize how much they missed the mountains and took the opportunity to purchase Intermountain Chiropractic in 2021. Dr. Nolan is trained in Gonstead, Diversified, Thompson Drop, Activator and Manual Therapy and brings the expertise of his past experience with a specialized technique and his passion for functional and proper movement to the Helena and Deer Lodge offices. When he isn't working, he loves to spend time outdoors camping, hunting and fishing, playing with his two boys, and supporting the Helena Bighorns hockey club.

Melissa Plocek D.C.

Location: Helena
Dr. Melissa Plocek was raised in Hartford, SD. Her father is a chiropractor and she grew up getting to see sick people get well in his clinic. This inspired her to pursue a career where she could also impact the lives of others. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree and then her Doctorate of Chiropractic degree in 2011 from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA.

She graduated with honors and was nominated for the Philosophy Award. Dr. Melissa is extensively trained in the Gonstead, Activator, Thompson, Diversified, and Upper Cervical techniques. Upon graduation, Dr. Melissa and her husband, Dr. Nolan purchased a practice in Montrose, CO where ran a highly specialized upper cervical practice. After practicing for almost 9 years, they decided to move back to South Dakota to be closer to family. It didn't take long for them to miss mountain life, so they relocated to Helena, MT in the winter of 2020. Dr. Melissa is also a certified yoga instructor and has served her patients with yoga therapy and proper movement pattering. She is passionate about treating patients as a whole and has completed her certification in Applied Kinesiology and will complete her Functional Medicine Certificate and Diplomat in Clinical Nutrition in January 2024. As cooking and recipe writing is also a passion, in her free time you can find her either in the kitchen experimenting with nutrient dense foods or exploring the outdoors with her husband and two young boys.
